Project Objective
We wanted reinvigorate online sales by creating a promotional period that would bring anticipation and excitement for 12 Days prior to Thanksgiving and after Cyber Monday. This is a NEW promotional period making it historical for Thistle Farms.
Our basis: 12 Days of Deals at Ulta
Plot Twist // Expanded Sales with a Tight Turnaround
Stakeholders challenged us to relook at our product selection, and gave us no limits on our sales threshold. Unfortunately, this was very sudden - just 4 days prior to launch. But.....
Story Continues // We persevered
Our team took it in stride, and being the E-commerce Manager, I did the following:
- Scheduled discount codes
- Organized products in collections based on discounts (if they were select products)
- Communicated to our Customer Support and Shop Manager to make sure automatic & code discounts were working smoothly (as they can!)
- Created web touchpoints for easy accessibility
- Researched, Picked and Scheduled discount code pop-ups for engagement
- Created Digital Assets
- Launched a deal specific landing page
- Supervised

Deals Strategy
I have posted the before and after deals to display the intense pivot we took. We reviewed these with our CEO and CFO to maintain our margins while making the deals appealing to customers.
I also advised the team on several wording strategies - when to use percentage vs. dollars off.

Web Visual Assets
While our Creative was providing alot of support to the Shop team with their signage, I created the web visual assets. Considering I have alot of experience with Graphic Design, I thought I could easily recreate and duplicate these assets for consistency.

Web Touchpoints
This means where the Customer can access the entry points when landing on ThistleFarms.org organically. This also included a new feature of a pop-up window, which allows the customer to copy the code and save for checkout.

Technical Learnings:
- Make codes easier to use for Shop employees
- Research Shopify Apps that automate discounts aside from Shopify discounts
Visual & UX Learnings:
- Enhance UI features on site to automate messaging instead of creating imagery (better for SEO)
- Improve markdowns of products on collection and product pages to show savings prior to cart drawer or checkout.
