PROJECT OBJECTIVE

Develop a design system to label our SKU product based on legal compliance and marketing for the .COM.

CURRENT DESIGN ANALYSIS // There is a lack of consistency with placement and sizing. The labels weren't dynamic or enticing and included both descriptive and marketing messaging. This could make or break a sale on the product landing pages (PLPs).

SEPARATE DESIGN EXECUTION

STICKER DESIGN // To represent the fun of the Dollar Shave Club brand, I decided to go with an organic shape with the text at an angle.

Stickers give the product recognition or promotion for an allotted amount of time.

Specs were defined with character count and color accessibility was taken into account.

LABEL DESIGN // I designed the label similar to what previously existed just defined placement and color specs.

Labels describe the product at-a-glance. These labels pertain to the product’s physical substance or product inventory status.

RESULTS

SIDE-BY-SIDE COMPARISON // Placement and refinements have made a strong impact. Stickers are on the bottom right hand corner, labels at the top left. The components are being tested on the site currently - October 2023.
